This I will write first and foremost, was my husbands idea, Kudos to him! This is about my Son Jacob, he is nine years old, funny, cute and talented. He also has autism! And I think the start of my water drenched day, would rank among the top two, of Jacobs little pranks! Gotta love it.
I suffering from a nasty cold, took cold medicine and went to bed about 9:30, 7:AM awoke me in a blur of pandemonium, my husband screaming profanities from the hall, I half dressed half awake, tripped and fumbled my way past christmas mess, to only run into a squish soggy mess about ten feet from my bedroom door.
Apparently at some point in the night my son had clogged up the toilet with I don't know what and manged to keep it running overflowing until, it was a small lake in my upstairs hallway and bathroom. After every towel , sheet and washcloth's were used, hubby ran to Walmart to get a every lovely shop vac. So as I and the kids ran up and down the hall trying to soak up all the water, witch at that point was a mash like substance. Jacob hid in his bedroom booming Snow White to ignore the mess.
Two and a half hours of shop vac sucking latter, with water dripping from the Chandelier in the dinning room, and hall way downstairs, i still don't think we got all the water. I Can see a few seams, but nothing to horribly bad. I have been wearing the same water logged pj pants all day, not having enough energy to care and change them. What a wonderful day after Christmas. When everyone is cleaning up rapping paper and eating leftovers. I am shoving money in the Pizza delivery guys hand as I am dripping wet, so the kids have something for lunch, only to return to rotate the wet and dry towels in the laundry room. What a day to relax.
So is the life of mother with this autistic child!!!!
